The Opportunity
Our Product Marketing team leads go-to-market strategy for new launches, works closely with product to inform product roadmaps & strategy, and executes campaigns to drive production adoption & growth. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Afterpay, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Brand, Sales, Design, Content, Growth & Acquisition, and Communications teams. Our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch, to growing product adoption post-launch.
We are hiring an accomplished product marketer to drive the growth and evolution of new advertising solutions for brands and retailers. You will shape and develop the brand and positioning for this new suite of products, and develop marketing plans that drive sustained awareness and adoption. As the product marketing owner, you will not only define the marketing strategy, you will also need to be strong in execution of marketing material development, including sales collateral, case studies, product videos, and web page content.
This role requires someone who thrives in fast paced environments and relishes in ambiguity. They must also excel as a leader of cross-functional teams and have experience managing and influencing a diverse set of stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of advertisers and their needs and a strong track record of growing new product adoption.

Product Marketing Strategy
Messaging & Positioning - Lead the development of product positioning and messaging that differentiates Afterpay ad products in the market
Product intelligence - Understand the product functionality and benefits deeply and translate into compelling narratives that resonate with advertisers
Market Intelligence- Maintain and improve our knowledge of buyer personas and competition through qualitative and quantitative analysis
Competitive Intelligence- Be a domain expert on the competitive landscape
Launches- Lead launches from ideation to refreshes. Partner with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth role out of product, content, tools, and processes
Voice of the Customer- Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap based on customer, sales, and market feedback
GTM
Sales Enablement- Develop highly differentiated sales plays to support revenue objectives across sales verticals, and enable sellers to successfully execute
Marketing Enablement- Work closely with growth marketing, campaigns marketing, industries marketing, and partner marketing, to deliver messaging in successful marketing campaigns
Content Development- Build compelling content that resonates with ad customers based on role, company size, vertical, or top challenges

6-8 years of relevant work experience in product marketing
Advertising experience working in a media agency, advertiser client, or publisher
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who has experience scaling 0-1 products and global programs
Experience working on product marketing throughout a product’s lifecycle
Proven track record of strong cross-functional collaboration
Strong verbal and written communicator, with the ability to synthesize a complex situation into a concise plan
Data driven and strong analytical skills
A team player who is accountable, proactive, and solution-oriented
