About this Opportunity
We are looking for an Cash Application Manager who will lead our cash team. You will be a key member of the team and will report directly to our Assistant Controller. You will have a thorough understanding of the AR cycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and analytical accounting skills, a team-first mentality, and the ability to remain agile in a high-growth and dynamic environment.
What You Will Do

  • NOTE: This role requires working Pacific Time Zone hours
  • Manage the performance of our outsourced Cash Application Team- providing training, guidance and direction/delegation of tasks.
  • Ensure proper application of cash receipt to invoices for all entities.
  • Review daily and monthly cash reconciliation for all bank accounts.
  • Oversee team to identify root cause of unapplied cash payments and investigate for proper payment application on a timely basis.
  • Assist the AR manager in properly issuing credit memos or refunds.
  • Assist AP team to manage outstanding checks for all accounts.
  • Forecast the month-end cash balances.
  • Responsible for the monthly cash close, which includes reviewing/or posting journal entries, review of transaction processing, and reconciliation sign off.
  • Reviewing Customer Accounts regarding misapplication disputes with Collection team.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of ACH files processes that may require an ability to respond if there are problems.
  • Partner with key stakeholders including technology, business partners to support new launches and expansions.
  • Manage relationship with Company's lockbox bank and other depository banks.
  • Analyze monthly bank fees charged by various banks and work with management to define and develop solutions to be more cost efficient and effective.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximize departmental productivity and minimize errors made by staff.
  • Revise and maintain cash application policies and procedures to ensure changing business requirements are met.
  • Participate in financial reviews and audits with external auditor.
  • Other ad hoc projects and financial KPI reporting as assigned.


Who You Are

  • Experience working for a public company
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area
  • Experience with the AR cycle
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in accounting field
  • Prefer NetSuite experience
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a high-growth company
  • Experience thriving in a fast paced environment
