The IT Enterprise Architect will lead the technical architecture and enterprise system design for GRAIL’s top tier business systems critical to enabling GRAIL’s commercial launch and scale.

You will:

  • Lead and be the subject matter in Architecture and Design
  • Become a trusted advisor to stakeholders input, define key workflows, requirements and overall priorities of GRAIL’s enterprise application stack (Salesforce, Netsuite ERP, Veeva, Apttus, Coupa, and other systems) to support GRAIL's critical business functions across the enterprise and to deliver toward GRAIL's business objectives.
  • Define and maintain a multi-year systems roadmap and technical integration strategy for GRAIL.
  • Drive the technical aspects of selection, high level design, configuration, integration, deployment and support of the top tier enterprise business systems at GRAIL (Salesforce, Netsuite, Veeva).
  • Help define and implement the GRAIL analytics architecture and strategy across IT systems, middleware, and analytics.
  • Partner with enterprise-wide Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and technical leaders across GRAIL to understand stakeholder needs and build support for the overall enterprise system roadmaps, enterprise SW stack architectures, key system design and plans.
  • Collaborate across IT, with stakeholders and with third party partners to build out, maintain and evolve the enterprise SW stack.
  • Perform Privacy, Security and Regulatory Compliance
  • Apply a strong understanding of applicable privacy, security and regulatory frameworks to the enterprise SW stack, and particular components of that stack, to ensure appropriate compliance with GxP, ISO27001, SOX, IVDR, HIPAA and other applicable frameworks.
  • Develop Policy and Process Definition
  • Work collaboratively to drive the definition and implementation of Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions for the IT organization and key enterprise workflows supported by mission critical systems. These should be compliant with applicable regulatory standards and validation frameworks based on the needs of the business.

Your background should include

  • A minimum of BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or similar.
  • 10+ years of enterprise system design experience within the life sciences sector.
  • Strong experience and expertise in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce service, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Pardot.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferably with experience in Netsuite and/or SAP.
  • Experience with Procure to Pay systems such as Coupa.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems such as Veeva.
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems such as Apttus.
  • Experience building out analytics (data lake, data warehouse, data governance, dashboarding, KPIs, executive reporting).
  • Experience with Middleware such as Dell Boomi or Mulesoft.
  • Strong Technical Architecture, Roadmap, Implementation, Supplier selection and technical management, deployment and production support experience.
  • Experience with Computer System Validation in a regulated environment, preferably in a life sciences / pharmaceutical environment.

  • Desired Skills

  • An MS in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience as a technical leader in IT within the life sciences sector.
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, etc.
  • Salesforce, Netsuite, SAP, Coupa, Veeva or other Enterprise Application certifications.
