As a Robot Site Technician, you will play an important role in testing, monitoring, and maintaining our technology at customer sites around the US.


What you'll do

  • Prep robotic systems for optimal test and production purposes by performing camera alignment, calibration, grasp evaluation and pipeline testing
  • Operate and oversee robots line
  • Oversee and manage any temporary workers that are hired to help in operation of robot line
  • Maintain time-sheets for any temporary workers that have been hired
  • Troubleshoot errors on individual robots and document all issues
  • Communicate with HQ about any issues in robot performance and debug in real-time
  • Maintain a meticulous log of robot performance (e.g. # of items processed, robot downtime etc)
  • Work around robotic arms in a safe and sensible manner
  • Run frequent tests of varied duration to measure performance and quality and to ensure product standards are met
  • Log and report test issues to relevant teams
  • Provide well-documented test protocols, results, and reports
  • Ensure quality, provide support of robotic and vision systems as a whole

Who you are

  • Earned an Associate's degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science, or have equivalent work experience
  • Have previous experience in IT support and writing support tickets
  • Able to work long hours at a stretch when necessary (e.g. 12+ hours in a day)
  • Able to work in shifts (day/night shift)
  • Able to work with in-house technical support resources to resolve difficult product problems
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Can learn Mechanical and Electrical systems
  • Knowledge of command line Linux desired, including file tree navigation and using a text editor
  • Travel may be required; this position will primarily be on customer sites
