Sr. Privacy Advocate (Privacy Manager)
About the Role:
As DataGrail's Sr. Privacy Advocate (Privacy Manager), you'll be the expert solving privacy challenges. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams in Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Ops, reviewing all products and evangelizing best practices in privacy throughout the org as well as with our customers. As a strategic advisor to the leadership team, you will lead privacy regulations reviews, advise on product development, and help navigate the legal privacy landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to help DataGrail build and scale a privacy program.
What You'll Do:
- Own all aspects of privacy operations and advocacy, with a specific initial focus on DataGrail’s privacy program.
- Design, build, execute, and iterate a privacy strategy and team that helps DataGrail close new business and expand existing business.
- Gain a deep understanding of our customers and their goals through frequent customer interactions. Actively channel and socialize customer feedback into features and themes that will prioritize their success as individuals and as companies.
- Talk about privacy best practices with customers. Talk to customers about how to effectively build a privacy program. Evangelize best practices for privacy internally and externally through an impactful advocacy program, building DataGrail’s reputation for privacy excellence.
- Improve cross-functional impact across entire org both internal and external.
- Manage privacy review of all products and evangelizing privacy best practices across the org and our customers
- Evangelize the user experience by bringing simplicity to complex workflows through an iterative operation process and a deep understanding of users’ goals and pain points to define desired outcomes that directly benefit the customer.
- Serve as a natural privacy advocacy. Capturing customer feedback and push for positive within DataGrail for customers to be privacy compliant at all times.
What You Need:
- You have a solid fundamental understanding of US privacy regulations and major foreign regulations (GDPR, LGPD, PIPEDA).
- You have a CIPP/US certification.
- Proven experience building a data privacy program.
- You're a natural privacy advocate who has a strong desire to capture customer feedback with the ability to influence customers to be privacy compliant at all times.
- Knowledgeable of the technical details of privacy legislation.
