The Operations and Underwriting Manager will be the glue that holds the operations team together, responsible for delivery across multiple areas within the CCL business from client onboarding, underwriting CCLs to post loan close administration. You will support the Director of Operations in ensuring the team meets all its KPI’s and will put the client at the focus of everything you do.

You will support in ensuring all customer related tasks are completed with accuracy and speed such as payments, reconciliation & reporting management, underwriting support on lending, customer correspondence issuance, client on-boarding & AML operations.

You will support the team in end-to-end capability development to support all operational and service workflows, and aim to create a highly-automated, self-service oriented process framework.

As the Financial products business grows and launches new offerings you will help to define the operational roadmap for those offerings.

Responsibilities 

  • Support in underwriting capital call lines
  • Support in creation and maintenance of policy and procedure documentation in relation to financial products
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks and inconsistencies in the process by continually improving the operational framework in place. 
  • Become an expert in the legal language of CCL contracts to support the team in deal execution at speed
  • Daily account reconciliation and loan book analysis.
  • Support in Development & implementation of robust, repeatable, consistent procedures to manage and automate various business processes, including client onboarding/KYC, AML screening, reconciliation, clearing & settlement, vendor management & fulfillment, fraud & risk operations, case management, manual processes and critical KPI reporting.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to manage and monitor operational processes, capture key metrics, identifying & implement ongoing improvements to the operational processes.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, including working within regulated financial services businesses, such as Bank & payment operations, FinOps, Financial reconciliation & settlement, Fraud & risk ops. 
  • Experience in underwriting or case management within financial services 
  • Experience with/enjoy working in a dynamic, high-growth environment
  • Experience in developing & managing workflows, data infrastructure to support in creating seamless, highly-automated operational processes
  • Strong Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving ability
