Make Your Mark:
Join BlackLine as our Principal Value Architect, Financial Analytics and propel our strategic objectives forward by integrating advanced financial analytics into our client solutions. We are seeking a dynamic individual with a strong foundation in accounting or finance, evidenced by a BS degree or equivalent, coupled with a minimum of six years' experience in enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will be deeply versed in business analysis, financial modeling, and possess exceptional skills in data analysis and visualization technologies including Python, R, SQL, Excel Macros, Tableau, PowerBI , and Cloud Computing. Your role will demand a blend of technical expertise and customer-facing experience, ideally gained in positions such as Consultant, Technical Solutions Engineer, Technical Pre-Sales, or Solutions Architect.
You will lead technical discussions, demonstrating an ability to identify and tailor solutions to our customers' needs. Your current technical abilities should enable direct engagement with our engineering team, showcasing hands-on data manipulation using cutting-edge tools and generative AI. Experience in Data Management, cloud technology deployment, and rapid customer landscape assessments are critical.
Your responsibilities will extend to guiding customers through the evaluation of BlackLine's Cloud solutions, leveraging strong data modeling skills and understanding of data warehouse concepts. Proven experience with API integrations, cloud platforms like GCP and Azure, Microsoft .Net , and Power App technologies is essential.
You'll Get To:

  1. Strategic Sales Support : In this critical role, you will develop and refine BlackLine's sales strategies, collaborating with Sales, Partners, Product, and Service teams throughout the entire sales lifecycle. Your contributions will be key in securing and closing complex deals, leveraging your deep understanding of financial analytics and customer requirements.
  2. Leadership in Complex Deals : You will lead the charge in BlackLine's engagements with strategic customers, using your expertise to influence major deal outcomes. Your role involves direct interaction with clients to understand their needs and craft tailored solutions that address their specific challenges.
  3. Direct Engagement in High-Stakes Situations : Your responsibility includes hands-on participation in critical demonstrations and presentations, showcasing BlackLine's capabilities to potential and existing customers. Your ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and effectively will be vital in these scenarios.
  4. Business Value Assessment and Guidance : You will lead the creation and assessment of detailed Business Cases, conducting ROI analyses, and project planning to demonstrate the tangible benefits of BlackLine's solutions. Additionally, you will provide strategic guidance on technical enhancements and mentor your peers in adopting Value Selling methodologies


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, Business Intelligence, or related field . CPA or CFA preferred.
  • ​Minimum six years of experience working with enterprise applications.
  • Expertise with data analysis and/or data visualization technologies such as Python, R, SQL, Excel Macros, Tableau, PowerBI & Cloud Computing.
  • ​ Experience in leading technical discussions and identifying the right solution for our customers' needs.
  • ​ Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of customers' landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Cloud technology.
  • ​ Ability to demonstrate and build business case to support the evaluation of BlackLine's Cloud solution.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Significant experience in finance or business intelligence roles, particularly within a pre-sales or consultancy environment.
  • Strong data modeling skills and familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
  • Proven knowledge and prior experience with generative AI solutions
  • ​ Experience with Enterprise EMP solutions preferred: BlackLine, OneStream, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Data Management (FDM), Planning, and Essbase , IBM Cognos, or similar CP M tools.

Salary Range:
USD $124,000.00 - USD $165,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
