The Role
We are looking for a talented Platform Product Manager to join our growing team!  In this role you merge attention to technical detail with the ability to understand and align business imperatives while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer insights and inputs directly into the development process. Day-to-day responsibilities will span the entire product management lifecycle, requiring deep interaction with customers, sales and engineering.   

What You’ll Do

• Serve as an in-house expert for our products and become the go-to person for all functional issues
• Establish requirements and specifications for existing and new products
• Ability to work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, quality assurance, and operations; to ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations
• Demonstrate functionality of completed products to internal team members and other stakeholders
• Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
• Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offerings
• Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements
• Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations
• Understand, research, and follow technology trends in the industry 
• Able to assess emerging products to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products
• Make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage
• Assess and address technical risks
• Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance
• Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation
• Translate product’s strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development
• Coordinate product releases with marketing, sales, and engineering teams
• Stay informed on competitors’ services and products
• Identify and present creative and innovative product solutions

What You’ll Need

• Proven track record of successful product management from idea generation to launch
• Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems
• Experience working directly with developers to define technical requirements for the product
• Experience working with designers to design and iterate on products
• Ability to communicate effectively work seamlessly with a cross-functional team
• Strong project management and time management skills
• Interpersonal skills with a keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• 3-5 years of product management experience
• Understand the dynamics of working in a start-up

Working at Lark 
Lark offers the option to work remotely in the United States. For Colorado Applicants only: minimum annual salary is $100,000 (minimum salary varies for other geographies). You may also be offered a bonus, stock options and/or benefits. We have identified the “core” period of the day during which all employees are required to work for scheduled meetings, syncs, scrums between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Pacific time. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, CA.
