OVERVIEW
At Instacart we solve for the customer. That extends beyond the hundreds of thousands of consumers we deliver groceries to and includes many leading and emerging consumer packaged goods (CPG) advertisers that want to shape how consumers perceive, shop, and stay loyal to their brands. Instacart’s Brand Partnerships team is focused on serving these clients through our native advertising platform.
We are hiring a Manager, Sales Systems & Operations to lead our efforts to ensure that Instacart’s Brand Partnerships team has the tools & processes in place to rapidly scale the Sales organization and the overall Ads business. This role will be responsible for leading a team in building and maintaining end-to-end sales operations processes and will involve cross-functional engagement between sales leadership, sales training & enablement, business analytics, and engineering.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Partner with Sales & Sales Strategy to identify business needs & work with Eng/IT to implement changes to existing tools/systems (like Salesforce) or bring on new tools/systems as needed
- Manage end-to-end sales planning including but not limited to account segmentation & quota setting
- Build and project manage the Brand Partnerships team’s annual operating plan
- Identify opportunities to build new workflows or streamline existing ones to support Instacart’s evolving business and drive efficiencies
- Build a small but mighty team to program manage the existing toolstack, ensure process compliance, and keep business operations running smoothly
ABOUT YOU
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience with digital advertising a plus
- Extensive experience Salesforce in the context of Business Development or Sales
- Experience running sales planning processes
- Experience building and managing lean teams with outsized company impact
- Experience launching new systems/tools including: conducting needs analysis, running RFP and price negotiations, managing implementation and rollout
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities with high attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
- Quantitative problem-solving skills and proficiency in Google Sheets or MS Excel
- Strong written & verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly & easily
- An interest in working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities, and a willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed
Nice to Have…
- Exposure to and understanding of digital advertising
- Experience working closely with a distributed sales team
- Experience with Salesloft, Xactly, and managing Self Serve products in Salesforce
