We’re looking for people who want to grow their careers within Segment & Twilio. In the last 9 months, 13 SDRs have been promoted into different teams throughout the organization, including the sales, enablement, and marketing teams. In addition, there are roles reserved in the sales organization for SDR internal promotions. SDRs are typically in the role for 18-24 months before moving into their next role. Currently, SDRs are eligible to move into SDR Leadership, Account Executive, Customer Success Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Recruiter, and Sales Enablement roles.

  • Have 1+ year of customer-facing experience (but if not, don’t sweat it!
  • Growth-oriented and are in it for the long haul (excited for leadership and customer-facing career opportunities!)

  • Are excited to go above and beyond to delight your prospects (creative, strategic outreach including hyper-personalized emails, calls, and videos!

What you can expect…

  • As an Outbound Sales Development Representative, you will be an individual contributor that’s part of the sales development team. 
  • We are tasked with breaking into new companies and new markets, and we do this by engaging with prospects by using a multi-channel, value-based approach with the goal of building relationships and driving brand awareness.
  • You’ll report to a Sales Development Manager whose main responsibility is to help you master the skills, processes, and strategies to be successful in this role. 
  • Receive all the necessary training and insights to confidently start contacting prospects through Segment’s SDR Onboarding Program for new hires. 
  • Achieve and exceed your monthly goal for generating new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline.
  • Become a master of Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, and various other systems for workflow execution. 
  • Each day you’ll research accounts to determine how Segment can provide them value and then execute on making outbound dials, sending personalized emails, and leveraging social selling. 
  • Work in partnership with an Account Executive to create account strategies, territory plans, and successfully create new business opportunities. 

This role requires being full-time in Denver or San Francisco.
