Sr. Director, Global Sales Enablement

The Senior Director, Sales Enablement leads various sales and channel efficiency initiatives sought at transforming the way Fastly’s sales and services organizations approach the market and engage with prospects, customers and partners. This role is responsible for a number of key internal objectives including the design, development and execution of our training strategy to ensure that the sales and services teams are equipped with the knowledge of our products and services, process and skills required to be successful. This role will also plan and execute key Sales & Services events, including Revenue Kickoff.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Sales & Services leaders to understand their business, identify knowledge and skills gaps, conduct ongoing needs assessments, and deliver targeted enablement programs in coordination with Marketing, Product, Support and Operations teams
  • Build and retain a team of enablement professionals to execute and improve the strategic enablement program
  • Design, implement and lead an initial onboarding and continuous enablement program for all Sales & Client Services personnel that shortens the time to productivity
  • Design, implement and run a coordinated onboarding strategy for Customers and Partners that drives adoption including onboarding, product knowledge and continuous enablement for new features.
  • Define, measure and report the performance of our enablement programs' impact, efficiency, appropriateness, and utility
  • Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners at all levels in the organization to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Participate in GTM launch programs, with an ownership over sales & services readiness perspective
  • Manage the content library that is used by the Sales & Client Services teams, ensure that all information is easily and readily accessible at point of need, and for the appropriate audience.
  • Plan & execute all aspects of key events for the Sales & Client Services teams including Sales/Revenue Kickoff, award trips and leadership meetings

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years working in a sales, marketing, operations or sales enablement role at a technology or software company
  • 6+ years specifically in an enablement or effectiveness role at a technology or software company
  • Experience leading high performing, global enablement teams across multiple companies
  • Prior experience working with sales enablement & CRM tools to support global teams, preferably Salesforce.com CRM and Showpad
  • Prior experience planning and executing large Sales Kickoff events
  • Ability to expertly coach and role play with individuals is key to the role
  • Experience developing training content- this includes the use of presentations, interactive exercises and other hands-on workshops
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, teaching, facilitating and writing skills
  • Ability to handle projects & initiatives across multiple groups, prioritize tasks effectively with various partners
  • Self-starter, results driven, motivated, creative and resourceful
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly based on business needs
