About the Role: 

Keeptruckin is looking for a Global Commodity Manager who will collaborate cross functionally to develop the supply chain and sourcing strategies for semiconductor, and electrical commodities. In this role, you'll be responsible for the execution of these strategies, including effective assessment and evaluation of potential new suppliers, supplier selection, contract and cost negotiations as well as ongoing supplier management. As part of the ongoing commodity management, you will understand market aspects and be recognized as a global industry expert within Keeptruckin.

This role will report directly to KT’s Head of Operations.  The GCM will be expected to work cross-functionally with engineering, product teams, planning/forecasting, and customer service. This person must be able to deal with uncertainty, often making decisions with incomplete information.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop a semiconductor commodity strategy and technology roadmap that aligns technology and business requirements with supplier capabilities.
• Work closely with Engineering to influence design decisions to meet technical capabilities, and business objectives.
• Develop commodity sourcing strategy including contract negotiation, cost targets, supply chain risk evaluation and mitigation.
• Manage overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability development, cost and quality improvements.
• Advise management on alternate global supply sources, component material costs, commodity pricing trends, and supply/demand situations that could impact the business.
• Monitor current commodity market conditions to identify challenges and develop supply continuity plan

What We’re Looking For: 

• BS or BA degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
• 5-7+ years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement and Commodity Management.
• Demonstrated expertise in semiconductors and high tech industry.
• Experience in PCB, interconnect and power components is highly desirable.
• Experience in vendor management process and working with contract manufacturers
