The Senior Cost Accountant is a contributor in the Finance organization who will mainly support the cost accounting department on day-to-day inventory and cost of goods sold related activities. They are an accounting professional with experience in a fast-paced private or public life sciences company environment who has demonstrated experience supporting the accounting function to meet the needs of a changing and growing business.
Responsibilities
- Perform month/quarter end SOX compliant financial close processes related to cost of goods sold and inventory
- Prepare detailed calculations for inventory, cost of goods sold, inventory reserves and overhead allocations
- Prepare detailed account analysis and reconciliations for respective GL accounts
- Perform flux analysis and product cost calculation
- Assist resolving inventory and system inquiries
- Support on quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Assist on product costing financial analysis
- Support and maintain strong internal controls processes
- Assist in the preparation of cycle count and yearly audit reconciliations
- Collaborate with various departments and functional groups that are relevant to the cost accounting function
- Assist and support with ERP and process improvement projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ year accounting experience in a manufacturing or life sciences company
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Business related
- Experience with Netsuite, Google Workspace
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

- Logical and critical thinking skills
The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $102K-$128K. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.
