Working at Atlassian
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or from an office (unless it's necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
This is a remote position. To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in the US Pacific, US Mountain, New Zealand or Australia Eastern time zones.
Want to be involved with defining and driving the future of software development? The world of software development moves quickly with advancements in technologies and practices happening all the time. At Jira, we're on a mission to help teams move faster and smarter no matter where they start their agile journey. We're here to support and empower teams adopting modern software development practices.
As a Senior Group Product Manager, you will lead a significant team of passionate Product Managers and partner deeply with your peers in Engineering and Design to execute the Jira mission. You will be responsible for our new customer funnel and existing customer expansion, setting direction, executing a bold roadmap, and growing the world class PM team under you. Your work will directly impact tens of thousands of customers and millions of users.
You will inspire and energise teams across Atlassian to define the vision, understand the product's current performance, evaluate product opportunities as well as customer needs, and prioritise features and improvements. This role is the perfect fit for you if you like both wearing a General Manager hat - understanding the business deeply, but at the same time creating engaging experiences. You will report to the Head of Product.
On your first day you will have:
- 8+ years of similar software product management experience relevant to this role, including experience managing a team of product managers
- 5+ years managing a team of 4 or more Product Managers
- Succeeded in a matrixed and experimentation-driven culture, with an emphasis on rapid iterations and testing.
- Drive data literacy. You identify the right data you need, build insights that inspire action autonomously. You know how to use data to make better decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis.
- A love for developing and mentoring Product Managers both individually and as part of a cohesive team
- A passion for software team best practices and coaching - you're a PM by trade, but also enjoy geeking out over the latest in DevSecOps
- Obsession over user's problems combined with experience working directly with design and engineering to craft delightful experiences.
- You're comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage success metrics
- Experience leading multiple streams of work with multiple teams and roadmaps
It's great, but not required, if you have:
- Experience running growth experiment teams
- Experience working with enterprise software customers
- Experience coaching software teams and how they work with other teams in the company
