Design end-to-end point-of-sale experiences for restaurant staff across terminal and handheld surfaces. Translate complex workflows such as ordering, payments, splits, modifications, and voids into fast, reliable, error-resistant interfaces. Partner with product, engineering, and research teams; conduct discovery, create prototypes and high-fidelity designs, address edge cases, communicate tradeoffs, and use research and business metrics to guide decisions. The role requires strong visual design, autonomy, collaboration, and an AI-first approach.

Own the end-to-end design of Toast’s reservations and booking experiences, from ambiguous problem definition through shipped interfaces. Create rapid prototypes, run experiments, use behavioral data and feedback, and deliver polished native mobile and responsive web experiences. Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and marketing; contribute to design systems; mentor peers through critique and pairing; and apply AI prototyping tools thoughtfully.
