Email Production Specialist 

Who you are

We are looking for a highly-motivated Email Production Specialist to join our team. This is a fast-paced role responsible for producing, optimizing and scaling email campaigns and customer journeys that deliver targeted, relevant, and timely information. The ideal candidate is an email operations professional and has hands-on skills & expertise with Email Service Providers and modern features like journey builders, personalization tools and customer segmentation. You understand business requirements and solutions effectively to bring campaigns to life.

What you’ll do

  • Perform end-to-end email campaign production including coding dynamic, personalized emails in HTML, setting-up/editing multiple programs within a deployment, recommending and/or refining targeting segmentation, developing schedules, recommending optimization rules, auditing waterfalls produced by the Lifecycle Marketing Managers, and conducting pre-deployment checks.
  • Architect and execute A/B tests in e-blasts and automated workflows and report on test results.
  • Participate in Email Creative review meetings to ensure that email copy and design meet template specs and will render well across inbox providers and devices. Keep informed of changes and advice team when the email template or guidelines need to be adjusted.
  • Lead requesting additional data feeds in or out of the ESP platform to deliver on desired customer communication goals. 
  • Offer set up and enablement.
  • Manage deliverability rates, bounce/block reports and resolve any issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities that help achieve the goals of the CRM/ Lifecycle Marketing team
  • Make updates as needed, to copy and URL links in transactional and marketing workflow emails.
  • Applying critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate potential issues to avoid negative impacts to our customers, internal clients and Brand.
  • Remain extremely focused on detail while managing multiple email campaigns simultaneously.

 Skills we’re excited about 

  • 5+ years of experience in email and digital marketing, with hands-on production including HTML coding, automated customer journeys, A/B testing and audience queries. Experience using Iterable a plus.
  • Expertise in email best practices such as creative and coding for mobile vs desktop, differences across inbox providers.
  • Expertise in customer databases: relational database structure, data relationships, import and export processes.
  • Knowledge of email performance metrics and calculations. Comfortable pulling data. Experience with Looker is helpful.
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, CCPA, CASL laws and compliance.
  • Very strong attention to detail, well organized and able to prioritize amongst numerous projects and tasks.
  • A friendly personality with excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments and teams.
