On Wednesday, SF-based Kentik announced that it raised $23.5 million in a growth funding round led by Vistara Capital Partners. This brings the company’s total funding to $61.7 million since its founding in 2014.

Kentik is a network analytics company that gives customers insight into how their networks are being used. It’s created a dashboard that helps monitor metrics including network access and transit activity, data center usage, cloud traffic flow and more. A number of well-known digital companies — including Dropbox, eBay, Cisco and Zoom — use Kentik to keep an eye on their internet, cloud, edge and data centers’ infrastructure and operations.

Recently, the startup’s customers have seen a huge surge in traffic, which makes this type of analytical information even more valuable. The company says many of its customers have seen traffic growth on their networks increase as much as 500 percent.

“With recent traffic growth, we now have real-time visibility into over one trillion traffic measurements per day across billions of users, and see every network connected to the internet, and every cloud and SaaS provider,” Avi Freedman, the company’s CEO and cofounder, said in a statement. “The Kentik platform was built to scale and provide real-time network intelligence, even in unprecedented times, to close visibility gaps and enable businesses to remain always-on.”

As demand for Kentik’s services increases, the company is also developing new products to offer to its customers. This new funding will help the company fuel its next stage of growth.
