The NFT market has soared to new highs this year, hitting $2.5 billion in sales in just the first half of 2021. The boom has worked in favor of a lot of artists, blockchain gaming companies and even musicians. Now, studios like Concept Art House are working to provide those parties with fresh collectibles to sell to fans and gamers alike.

The art production company announced Wednesday that it raised $25 million in fresh financing to accelerate its growth. A long list of investors participated in the Series A round including co-founder of Twitch Kevin Lin, in addition to Dapper Labs, Animoca Brands and Appworks, among others.

Concept got its start creating graphics for those in the social gaming world and has since expanded into the realms of virtual reality and connected play work. The San Francisco-based company has created game graphics for top-selling titles like Call of Duty: Mobile, Fortnite and League of Legends. As of 2018, the company has helped to ship over 600 games.

Following the latest raise, the studio is ready to dive deeper into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Concept isn’t new to the idea of NFTs, the company recently teamed up with Gala Games for an NFT drop celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sin City by Frank Miller. The collaboration led to record sales for the comic book creator, according to the company.

“For years [we’ve] been known for producing best-in-class art for gaming and the greater entertainment industry,” James Zhang, CEO of Concept Art House, said in a statement. “We now find ourselves at the intersection of NFT and gaming, two of the fastest growth areas in the blockchain ecosystem and digital entertainment.”

Following the latest raise, the art production company plans to continue building out its team, which has grown in size by 30 percent since the start of the year. Concept also plans to build out an extensive NFT vault and take a look into some strategic acquisitions.
