RelationalAI, a relational knowledge graph developer, announced Thursday it raised $75 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Tiger Global with participation from existing investors Madrona Venture Group, Addition and Menlo Ventures and brings the company’s total raised capital to date to $122 million. RelationalAI plans to use its new funds to accelerate product development and go-to-market strategies.

Based in Berkeley, RelationalAI is building a relational knowledge graph system for developing intelligent data applications. The company uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to create database models that make it easy to understand historical and real-time data. For example, the system can take disparate pieces of texts and documents at a financial institution and extract key information to be easily understood and utilized with little to no user input.

“We are redefining data app development by making it easier for domain experts and developers to work together to define easily understandable, executable business logic,” RelationalAI CEO Molham Aref said. “Early success with enterprise customers on data fabric, fraud detection, securities analysis, structural search and contextual recommendation data apps confirms our belief that we’re addressing a large unmet need, one that could transform the application and data industries.”

The company is still in its early stages but is already working with enterprise customers to help them better understand their data stacks in order to build intelligent data apps and run advanced analytics. According to a company statement, RelationalAI expects to launch the self-service portion of its data graphing solution early next year.

The company is currently hiring for 19 new positions across departments, all of which are listed as remote roles. RelationalAI seems to be particularly looking to grow its development team with five engineering roles and one technical writer position currently open.
