Bay Area tech companies are closing out 2022 strong with plans already in motion for the new year. With new funding, acquisitions and more, find out what’s coming to the Northern California tech sector. This is the Built In SF Weekly Refresh.

Coupa Software announced plans to be acquired. Investment firm Thoma Bravo will acquire business spend management company Coupa Software next year. Having signed a definitive agreement, Coupa will exit the public sector and become a privately held company. The transaction is worth $8 billion, and as such, Coupa’s shareholders will receive $81 per share in cash ahead of the company’s exit. [Built In SF]

Beamery got $50M. London-based Beamery develops software that helps companies make effective workforce decisions. It operates a Bay Area office with five occupants, and it plans to use its Series D capital to enhance its platform and tech capabilities and expand its global sales footprint. [Built In SF]

AppOmni secured additional funding. Building on its previously announced Series C, AppOmni pulled in new funding from investors including TSG. The extra capital will enable AppOmni’s go-to-market expansion within Europe, the Middle East and Africa as well as the Asia and Pacific region. Mural appointed a new CEO. The company specializes in collaborative intelligence and wants to help organizations unlock their teams’ full potential. Mural announced the appointment of David Baga as the company’s new CEO, taking the place of co-founder Mariano Battan. Battan will move to the position of executive chairman of the board. Baga was previously CEO at financial benefits platform Even. [Mural]
