Browserbase, a California-based browser infrastructure platform for agentic software, has raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by Notable Capital, with continued support from existing investors CRV and Kleiner Perkins.

According to a news release, the funding coincides with the launch of Director, a new no-code tool that enables non-technical users to build and run automations simply by describing what they want to accomplish. Director complements Stagehand, Browserbase’s open-source automation framework that supports both Python and Node.js.

Founded just over a year ago, Browserbase now serves over 1,000 companies and has attracted more than 20,000 developers who use its platform to embed web browsing capabilities into AI-powered features, workflows and products.
