DataHub Raises $35M Series B to Grow Its Open-Source Community

The company provides an open-source metadata platform that helps businesses merge AI and data to improve visibility and trust across their ecosystems.

DataHub, by Acryl Data, has secured $35 million in its Series B funding round. Led by Bessemer Venture Partners, this raise brings the company’s total funding to $65 million. Alongside the funding, the company announced its rebrand to be known simply as DataHub going forward.

DataHub operates an open-source solution for metadata that allows enterprises to access real-time context about AI and data assets. Its managed solution provides AI-powered discovery, observability and governance capabilities and serves more than 3,000 organizations worldwide, such as Apple, Chime, Foursquare and Netflix.

The company will invest the capital in its open-source community, which has grown to encompass 13,000 members, as well as its research and development efforts, particularly in AI governance and context management. Additionally, DataHub will expand its go-to-market operations and enhance its customer success capabilities.
