Pano AI, a California company offering AI-powered wildfire detection technology, recently secured $44 million in a Series B round of funding. Led by Giant Ventures, the raise brings Pano AI’s total venture funding amount to $89 million.

The company serves over 250 federal, state and local first responder agencies with a platform that leverages AI to detect smoke and provide real-time situational awareness. Its solution covers more than 300 acres of land across 10 U.S. states, as well as British Columbia and five states in Australia.

“Wildfires are becoming more frequent and more destructive every year, and we have built powerful tools to put in the hands of emergency managers on the front lines to help combat this crisis,” Sonia Kastner, Pano AI’s co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “This additional capital allows us to accelerate our mission to equip first responders with the best technology to protect communities, safeguard our critical infrastructure and build a more resilient future.”

Backed by its fresh capital, Pano AI will invest in accelerating the adoption and deployment of its wildfire detection and intelligence solution at scale.
