ServiceNow, an AI-powered business transformation platform, recently announced its acquisition of data.world, an enterprise data cataloging and governance company. The merger is aimed at strengthening ServiceNow’s agentic AI capabilities.

The announcement coincides with ServiceNow’s release of its Workflow Data Network offering, a tool that allows AI agents to access enterprise‑wide data in real time. The ecosystem of data platforms, applications and enterprise tools will help organizations gather actionable insights from any data source through ServiceNow’s AI platform.

Through the May 2025 data.world merger, ServiceNow plans to enable secure, compliant data activation across environments by embedding data directly into workflows. Its goal is to ensure organizations can make faster, more informed and accurate decisions.
