Controller leading accounting for a growing private equity-backed distribution business. Responsibilities include owning the monthly close, technical accounting, financial reporting, audits, tax and banking relationships, cash forecasting, working capital, internal controls, ERP process improvements, and outsourced accounting oversight. The role reports to the CFO, manages one direct report, supports multi-entity integration, and prepares reporting for senior leadership, the board, and investors.

Build and lead the FP&A function, including forecasting, budgeting, three-statement modeling, profitability analysis, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and executive and private equity board reporting. Partner with commercial, operational, supply chain, accounting, and senior leadership teams on pricing, customer economics, product profitability, liquidity, working capital, and strategic decisions. Establish scalable financial processes, reporting standards, dashboards, and Power BI capabilities.

Own and execute centralized People operations and HR systems (hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance, safety, I-9 compliance) while partnering as an HRBP with managers on RPRS, employee relations, and culture. Drive process improvements, build self-service resources and automations (Rippling as single source of truth), and routinely travel to California and Arizona farms. Spanish-English fluency required.
