Builds benchmarks and evaluation systems for AI models across domains and modalities. The role owns backend infrastructure, data pipelines, execution environments, storage, orchestration, and sandboxed agentic evaluation systems. It also leads customer-facing technical engagements, translating enterprise requirements into scalable production solutions, collaborating with researchers, and driving ambiguous projects from feasibility through delivery.

Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale GCP data ecosystems, including PB-scale platforms and AWS-to-GCP migrations. Establish data platform roadmaps, self-service architectures, governance, security, quality, and Infrastructure as Code standards. Architect solutions using GCP data, analytics, AI, streaming, and containerization technologies. Lead cross-functional engineering teams, mentor staff, advise executives, manage technical risks, and communicate the business value of data initiatives.

Leads a 35-person mechanical engineering discipline, overseeing engineering operations, programs, project delivery, staff development, client relationships, business development, financial performance, and commercial growth. Manages 6–7 direct reports, supports proposals and contracts, guides program managers, ensures project quality and timelines, and drives continuous improvement. The role requires extensive A/E/C experience, a Professional Engineer license, commercial multi-site program expertise, and strong leadership and client-facing skills.
