Lead the design, modeling, simulation, validation, and production transition of advanced optical components and systems for coherent LiDAR. Perform tolerance, stray-light, scattering, polarization, and sensitivity analyses; define component requirements; support manufacturability and system-level decisions; develop intellectual property; collaborate across photonics, mechanical, and systems engineering; and mentor junior engineers.

Characterize next-generation 4D LiDAR sensors through laboratory and vehicle testing, field data collection, automated test development, system-level debugging, calibration verification, and sensor data analysis. The role involves investigating issues across hardware, firmware, and software while collaborating with optics, algorithms, hardware, and systems engineering teams. Results will be documented and presented to cross-functional stakeholders.
