Teams at Afresh

Build and lead Afresh’s forward deployed engineering team, including hiring, execution, architecture, and technical customer relationships. Oversee AI platform integrations across enterprise grocery customers, define reference architectures, establish production standards, and decide which capabilities belong in the shared platform. Partner with platform engineering to convert deployment learnings into repeatable products and playbooks. The role is player-coach, requiring architecture reviews, technical discovery, debugging, customer engagement, and approximately 25–40% travel.

Lead customer discovery with enterprise grocers, identify high-value AI opportunities, develop business cases, define MVPs and success criteria, and guide solutions through deployment. Manage stakeholders from frontline users to executives, partner with Sales and Engineering, drive adoption and expansion, and translate customer insights into product direction. The role requires retail knowledge, technical fluency, commercial judgment, and willingness to travel approximately 25–50%.

Own and evolve Afresh’s analytics platform, including data architecture, dimensional models, semantic-layer metrics, pipelines, data quality, governance, and AI-assisted analytics tooling. Collaborate with data, product, engineering, and operations teams to support internal and customer-facing data products. Lead high-impact projects, optimize billion-row datasets, establish reliable analytics practices, and mentor other engineers.
