Executes rodent in vivo studies across multiple drug discovery programs, including dosing, blood collection, necropsy, tissue harvesting, sample processing, animal monitoring, and study documentation. Coordinates timelines and sample needs with scientists, operational leads, and vivarium staff. Ensures IACUC compliance, animal welfare, data integrity, and protocol adherence while troubleshooting routine issues. Provides technical training and flexible weekend or time-sensitive study coverage.

Conduct advanced in vivo neuroscience research using rodent models, including cranial window and stereotaxic surgeries, intracranial AAV delivery, disease-model cohort generation, behavioral assays, and longitudinal imaging. Manage anesthesia, postoperative care, surgical records, IACUC compliance, and animal welfare. Preferred work includes miniscope and awake head-fixed imaging, neural indicators, tracers, implanted devices, advanced behavioral testing, and downstream tissue analysis.

Lead neurodegeneration research programs by designing and executing rodent in vivo studies, analyzing rodent and human brain tissue, developing quantitative disease readouts, and evaluating CNS therapeutic modalities. The role collaborates with pharmacology, histology, molecular biology, computational, program management, CRO, and external teams. Responsibilities include scientific strategy, experimental rigor, data integrity, literature review, and go/no-go recommendations.
