Lead the development and scaling of Nodes on the Matter Compiler technology platform, managing cross-functional teams and maintaining integrated execution plans to ensure project success.

Develop computational geometry algorithms, manufacturability constraints, layout and retention logic, physical process models, validation systems, and production knowledge bases. Collaborate with AI, modeling, design, and process engineering teams to translate manufacturing expertise into auditable, testable code and validate results against fab runs.

Develop and maintain digital-twin simulations of manufacturing nodes (motion axes, grippers, sensors) so machine software can be developed and tested without hardware. Build scenario and regression suites for CI, extend simulation coverage across machine types, create validation tooling to compare simulation vs. telemetry, root-cause divergences, and progressively own components like the device-model library or CI simulation harness.

Lead and execute enterprise detection and response across cloud, OT/ICS, endpoint, identity, and network. Manage security tools and vendors, mature SIEM/cloud logging, embed security into cloud/IaC, run incident response, perform OT assessments, and maintain policies and compliance (NIST/SOC2/ISO27001).

Lead design and implementation of distributed software coordinating state, timing, and behavior across manufacturing hardware. Drive architecture decisions, evolve APIs, instrument systems for observability and ML consumption, improve testing/CI/CD, debug across software/firmware/hardware, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to deliver reliable, real-time manufacturing platform software.

The Staff Safety Engineer will lead machine safety and operational safety programs, embed safety in design, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The IT Operations Engineer will manage SaaS applications, provide IT support, improve processes, support hardware/software lifecycle, and maintain security for network and infrastructure.

Implement APIs, real-time controllers, instrumentation for ML/AI, and reliability/observability. Drive architecture decisions, improve CI/CD and testing practices, debug across software/firmware/hardware, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to converge on a production-ready platform.

Design, build, and integrate custom electronics and control systems for automated micromanufacturing nodes. Perform schematic/layout, prototype cabling, bring-up firmware, debugging, vendor interactions, and create reusable component/module libraries while working closely with embedded, software, and mechanical teams.

Provide hands-on end-user and lab IT support for engineers and staff: manage SaaS provisioning, device and software lifecycle, MDM and patching, network and on-prem infrastructure, conference AV, documentation, and collaborate with senior IT on diagnostics and automation. On-site in Emeryville five days weekly.

The Senior Director of Robotics Hardware will lead a team in developing digital manufacturing nodes, ensuring hardware architecture aligns with strategic objectives, and establishing efficient manufacturing processes and engineering excellence standards.
