Senior Counsel, Commercial will advise Axios revenue, product, sales, marketing, and operations teams; draft and negotiate commercial agreements; manage legal intake and workflows; counsel on privacy, data use, IP, regulatory, and product matters; oversee routine disputes and outside counsel; and provide pragmatic, business-focused guidance to senior leaders. The role requires independent ownership of complex transactions, strong judgment, and comfort using AI-enabled tools.

Manage post-sale advertising accounts from kickoff through campaign wrap, coordinating production, launches, reporting, optimization, and client communications. Support pre-sale media planning, proposals, RFP responses, renewals, and growth opportunities while partnering with sales and cross-functional teams. Use campaign analytics to recommend improvements, build retention strategies, and deliver strong client experiences. The role requires digital campaign execution experience, organization, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns independently.

Own product features and quarterly priorities from discovery through delivery. Use data, user research, and stakeholder insights to optimize user journeys, conversion funnels, engagement, and business outcomes. Collaborate with engineering, design, editorial, and revenue teams, communicate across audiences, maintain high-quality execution, mentor junior teammates, and apply AI tools to improve productivity and team efficiency.
