Teams at BAART Programs

Leads nursing and dispensing operations in an outpatient substance abuse treatment clinic. Ensures physician medication orders are implemented, regulatory requirements are met, and nursing coverage is maintained. Delegates tasks, manages schedules and performance activities, participates in treatment and staff meetings, resolves clinical complaints, responds to crises, and prepares reports. Requires California LPN/LVN licensure, nursing experience, clinical documentation accuracy, knowledge of HIPAA and applicable regulations, communication skills, and EMR proficiency.

Dispenses prescribed medications to outpatient substance use disorder patients, conducts daily assessments, maintains dispensing equipment and medication inventory, and documents treatment information. The nurse ensures controlled-substance distribution complies with federal and state regulations, produces required records, supports staff orientation, and collaborates with physicians, nursing supervisors, and counseling staff. The role requires a California LPN/LVN license or qualifying psychiatric technician license, CPR certification, computer proficiency, and successful drug and background checks.
