Teams at Benchmark Space Systems

Design, build, and test avionics, test fixtures, and test stands for in-space propulsion products. Responsibilities include creating test plans and procedures, managing assembly and testing schedules, identifying process improvements, documenting results, authoring test reports, and communicating project status. The intern will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams in an on-site, fast-paced environment.

Design, implement, and validate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft propulsion systems. Own flight-code architecture, simulation, verification, and configuration management; perform stability and dispersion analyses; define hardware-in-the-loop test campaigns; support mission design reviews; and mentor engineers. The role requires expertise in spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, control theory, MATLAB/Simulink, and flight-software validation.

Design, analyze, manufacture, and test propulsion hardware and test articles for small satellites. Perform mechanical, thermal, fluidic, and chemical analyses; conduct laboratory, hotfire, and hardware testing; interpret results; support sourcing and manufacturing; and document and present engineering findings.
