Own a core marketplace product domain (pricing, matching, reliability, onboarding). Build mental models from customer conversations and data, pick and track key metrics, run research and experiments, and steward product improvements. Collaborate with Applied Science and engineering teams; document decisions so teams operate autonomously.

The Applied Scientist will build pricing algorithms, design auction mechanisms, develop models for worker relationships and construct experiment frameworks for the organization. The role involves direct collaboration with engineers and analysis of marketplace trends and metrics.

Deploy to key customer accounts to diagnose and resolve complex operational problems, build stakeholder relationships, coordinate product/engineering/ops to deliver fixes, and keep timelines and commitments on track. Occasional onsite travel to customer sites.
