The Staff Controls and Software Engineer will develop control systems for fusion energy equipment, collaborate with R&D and engineering teams, and oversee project design, testing, and optimization.

Lead and grow a process engineering team to develop and stabilize vacuum-based thin film processes (sputtering, thermal). Create SOPs, train staff, manage vendors, drive continuous improvement with equipment and integration engineering, and implement data/LIMS and DOE-driven process controls to meet technical milestones.

Develop, select, and maintain metrology and measurement systems. Create SOPs, train staff, manage data via LIMS/MES, coordinate metrology vendors, and ensure safety and quality in challenging environments.
