Teams at Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Serve as primary systems engineer for critical utility subsystems in R&D: integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components; lead hands-on troubleshooting/commissioning; author specifications and requirements; manage schedules and budgets; standardize workflows and SOPs; drive cross-functional alignment among ME, EE, and SW teams.

Lead advanced multi-physics simulation (FEA/CFD) for next-gen hardware, run coupled thermal-structural-fluid-chemical analyses, validate models against test data, drive design reviews, manage modeling deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver prototype-ready designs.

The Staff Controls and Software Engineer will develop control systems for fusion energy equipment, collaborate with R&D and engineering teams, and oversee project design, testing, and optimization.
