Develop and deploy large-scale computer vision and machine learning models for Coupang’s search and product experiences. Responsibilities include experimentation, statistical analysis, scalable model development and serving, A/B testing, researching advanced vision techniques, presenting results to leadership, and mentoring engineers. The role requires applying deep learning, transformers, generative modeling, and other state-of-the-art approaches to user-facing products.

Design and build large-scale machine learning systems for search ranking, semantic retrieval, personalization, and product discovery. Develop scalable offline and real-time ML pipelines, process billions of interaction records and petabytes of logs, deploy complex models, track performance metrics, and collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams. The role also involves mentoring engineers and applying transformers, LLMs, embeddings, vector search, and multimodal learning.

Build and optimize end-to-end search and discovery systems, including machine learning pipelines, serving infrastructure, and relevance solutions. Develop AI products using deep learning and large language models, improve search quality, deliver complex systems with measurable business impact, collaborate across teams, remove technical blockers, and recruit and develop engineering talent.
