Partner with medical teams, translate user feedback into designs, and direct external contributors while ensuring accessibility, compliance, and integration quality.

Electrical Engineer II responsible for verifying implantable and wearable neurotechnology systems. Duties include developing verification plans, electrical test methods, protocols, and reports; designing custom test fixtures and PCBAs; executing laboratory, environmental, reliability, and safety testing; debugging mixed-signal hardware; analyzing failures; supporting design improvements, automation, prototype builds, and regulatory submissions.

Lead the architecture, prototyping, integration, validation, and debugging of electromechanical systems for a robotic hand exoskeleton. Own actuator and sensor-integrated subsystems from concept through clinical-study readiness, define validation strategies, resolve multidisciplinary hardware and controls issues, and guide reliability, manufacturability, and production transition efforts. Mentor engineers, establish engineering processes, support vendor and component decisions, and develop fixtures, harnesses, and integration tooling.

Develops and executes electrical verification and validation testing for implantable and wearable neurotechnology devices. Designs test methods, protocols, fixtures, interface boards, and automated test systems; performs laboratory characterization, hardware debugging, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations. Supports prototype development, regulatory submissions, product reliability, and design improvements while collaborating with hardware, firmware, robotics, quality, and regulatory teams. Mentors junior engineers and helps define subsystem test strategy.

Build and own an in-house pilot assembly line for a wearable robotics medical device. Responsibilities include developing tooling, fixtures, manufacturing processes, documentation, and supplier relationships; supporting design verification and clinical builds; ensuring manufacturing readiness; and contributing to process validation, risk management, and design transfer toward higher-volume production.

Own regulatory strategy and execution for a Class III implantable neurotechnology, from FDA engagement through IDE and PMA approval. Lead regulatory submissions, FDA interactions, clinical study support, quality-system partnerships, audits, and regulatory process development. Build the regulatory function, manage consultants, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on medical device software, algorithms, product development, and commercialization.

Lead neural decoding and machine learning strategy for brain-computer interfaces, taking algorithms from research through real-time deployment in human clinical studies. Develop closed-loop decoders, calibration and adaptation methods, inference runtimes, and clinical deployment processes. Define data and evaluation standards, integrate models across software, firmware, hardware, and robotics, support regulated development, debug cross-functional issues, and mentor ML engineers.

Designs and develops low-power, miniaturized electrical systems for implantable and wearable medical devices. Responsibilities include architecture, schematic design, component selection, simulation, PCB development, analog/digital debugging, board bring-up, prototyping, validation, and production transition. The engineer collaborates with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems teams while addressing power, communications, scalability, and product performance.

Architects and develops electrical systems for implantable and wearable Class III medical devices. Responsibilities include system architecture, PCB and mixed-signal hardware design, embedded C/C++ firmware, hardware-software integration, verification and validation, regulatory compliance, risk analysis, documentation, and transition from prototypes to production.

Own planning and execution for software and firmware projects supporting an implantable brain-computer interface. Build schedules, track milestones and dependencies, manage risks, coordinate engineering and cross-functional teams, and drive projects through integration, verification, regulated documentation, and release. The role uses Jira and Confluence and partners with Quality, Regulatory, Hardware, Research, and engineering leadership.

Supports HR and People operations, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, manager assistance, office and culture events, vendor management, recruiting coordination, interview logistics, offer support, and employer branding. The role is onsite five days per week and requires strong organization, communication, follow-through, and comfort managing varied priorities.
