Own the architecture, implementation, verification, integration, and maintenance of spacecraft flight software. Design command and telemetry, data management, fault management, timing, health monitoring, and safe-mode systems. Maintain CI and software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test environments, establish deterministic coding standards, document interfaces, and integrate software with host spacecraft platforms alongside GNC and embedded engineers.

Supports spacecraft autonomy through guidance, navigation, control, perception, simulation, AI/ML, software development, and embedded hardware testing. Interns may design algorithms, build mission-scale testing infrastructure, develop C++ and Python code, train and deploy models, test sensors and payloads, and own technical problems through validation and delivery.

Own the embedded software architecture and flight firmware for Era-Node, including bare-metal and RTOS code, device drivers, deterministic state machines, communications stacks, timing systems, and hardware integration. Optimize compute, memory, and hardware acceleration for onboard GNC and AI/ML workloads. Lead board bring-up, fault tolerance, radiation mitigation, HIL testing, and environmental test support for spacecraft and robotic testbeds.
