Leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for system-level integration, verification, and validation of energy storage hardware and software. Owns testing strategy, requirements-driven campaigns, DFMEA risk mitigation, safety verification, deployment gates, issue tracking, root-cause analysis, and failure triage across integrated test beds. The role requires expertise in power electronics, high-voltage systems, communications protocols, battery management systems, automated testing, and hardware-in-the-loop frameworks, along with engineering people-management experience.

Serves as a strategic and operational HR partner for California product engineering and site leaders. Responsibilities include organizational design, workforce planning, change management, talent programs, performance management, employee relations investigations, engagement initiatives, people analytics, and collaboration with HR centers of excellence. The role requires onsite work in Berkeley at least four days per week and supports a rapidly scaling energy technology and manufacturing organization.

Lead reliability engineering for iron-air battery packs and deployed systems. Define reliability requirements, develop validation roadmaps, design accelerated lifetime tests, investigate failure mechanisms, determine root causes, and improve component and subsystem lifetimes. Serve as the Design for Reliability authority for electro-mechanical plant subsystems, lead DFMEAs, mentor peers, collaborate cross-functionally, and champion safety.
