As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead technical strategies, develop APIs and microservices, and mentor engineers for innovation at GEICO.

Leads production security engineering for AI-enabled products and platforms. Responsibilities include threat modeling, secure design and code reviews, security automation, developer tooling, authentication and authorization reviews, AI security assessments, monitoring, documentation, and remediation guidance. The role partners with engineering, product, platform, risk, and cybersecurity teams while applying AI-assisted development practices and maintaining accountability for secure, reliable, production-ready software.

Designs, deploys, and maintains OpenStack-based private cloud environments. Improves observability, monitoring, performance, and operability while developing automation with Python, Ansible, and GitHub Workflows. Builds and optimizes CI/CD pipelines, supports Docker and Kubernetes initiatives, troubleshoots cloud infrastructure, and collaborates with development, operations, and security teams. Participates in on-call support and helps establish engineering best practices.
