Leads GRAIL’s employment law and non-IP litigation functions, advising the Chief People Officer, senior executives, and cross-functional leaders on complex employment matters, investigations, disputes, and litigation risk. Responsibilities include managing outside counsel, litigation strategy, discovery, settlements, budgets, policies, training, and legal processes. The role requires strong employment law expertise, litigation judgment, executive advising, and leadership of attorneys and multifunctional legal teams.

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and accruals (including clinical trial accruals). Support SOX compliance and audits, drive automation and AI-enabled process improvements, maintain controls, and partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate US GAAP financial reporting.

Build and own production-grade data systems that transform clinical, lab, and operational data into trusted, analysis-ready datasets. Collaborate with scientists, clinicians, and operations to design data models, services, and workflows enforcing integrity, access control, and regulatory compliance. Lead long-lived systems, improve data quality, monitoring, testing, and mentor engineers while supporting incident response and cross-functional adoption.

Lead design and development of cloud-native full-stack and microservice systems for patient-facing and clinical data platforms. Provide technical leadership, drive cross-functional programs, improve engineering practices, and mentor engineers to deliver robust, scalable software.

Lead and define global regulatory strategy for diagnostics and medical devices, drive international submissions and commercialization, ensure compliance and inspection readiness, influence regulatory policy, support executive decision-making, and modernize regulatory processes and systems.

Lead global regulatory strategy across multiple portfolios and technologies; represent the company to health authorities; oversee submissions, approvals, and lifecycle management; ensure global compliance and inspection readiness; drive regulatory innovation and process improvements; partner with executives on portfolio and business decisions; and mentor and develop regulatory leaders.

Lead product security architecture and security-by-design across the product lifecycle. Embed security into SSDLC and DevSecOps, perform threat modeling and risk assessments, define controls for AI/ML products, manage post-market surveillance, oversee penetration and advanced testing, support incident response, partner with cross-functional stakeholders for regulatory compliance, track security metrics, and mentor other engineers.

Provide strategic legal and compliance counsel across commercial, clinical, and corporate functions; lead and enhance the global compliance program; advise on healthcare laws (Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, EKRA, anti-corruption); draft and negotiate compliance provisions; run risk assessments, monitoring, audits, and investigations; develop policies, training, and scalable compliance controls.

Maintain and improve Bazel-based build workflows and CI/CD pipelines to boost developer experience and reliability. Own build performance, remote caching/execution, test sharding, and tooling for a multi-language monorepo. Build internal automation, diagnose CI flakiness, support container and Python packaging workflows, and collaborate with developers, researchers, and platform teams to accelerate delivery.

Lead and scale a global Data Platform engineering team to deliver a cloud-native, serverless microservices data platform. Define architecture and roadmaps for petabyte-scale data processing, AI/LLM-enabled features (RAG), high-throughput ETL, and secure REST APIs while ensuring CI/CD, DevOps, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA/GDPR).

Lead the People Business Partner and Employee Relations functions, partner with executives on organizational design and talent strategy, and run enterprise talent programs (workforce planning, performance, promotions, succession). Serve as Sunnyvale HR site leader, drive culture, coach senior leaders, and collaborate with TA, Rewards, L&D, and Legal to scale people practices across the company.

Leads strategic partnerships and account growth for GRAIL products across Western U.S. health systems. Builds executive relationships, negotiates contracts, develops account and launch plans, drives workflow adoption and technology integration, and expands patient access through payer and employer collaboration. Oversees governance meetings, forecasting, performance reporting, evidence-generation opportunities, and pull-through strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment across clinical, field, market access, marketing, and legal teams.

Leads strategic partnerships with health systems to expand adoption of GRAIL’s Galleri cancer detection product. Manages executive relationships, account strategies, negotiations, contracting, launches, workflow integrations, governance, forecasting, and access expansion. Collaborates with field, medical, marketing, payer, and clinical teams to drive system growth, evidence generation, provider awareness, and compliant customer engagement across Eastern U.S. accounts.
