Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs while iterating quickly. Mentor designers, strengthen design culture, and apply systems thinking, product reasoning, facilitation, and precise execution to complex human-centered problems.

Leads Central Operations across marketplace allocations, trust and safety, payments, and contractor operations. The role establishes strategy, roadmaps, processes, metrics, and scalable operating systems; manages and develops a high-performing team; analyzes data; drives automation with Product and Engineering; and leads cross-functional initiatives in an ambiguous, rapidly growing environment.

Own commercial strategy and revenue retention for 75–130 SMB and mid-market SaaS customers. Manage renewals, negotiations, expansion opportunities, forecasting, pipeline hygiene, account risk, and strategic customer relationships. Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, RevOps, Product, Support, Finance, and Legal to improve retention, grow accounts, and communicate customer insights.

Build and operate backend services, APIs, shared platform capabilities, and developer tooling for Handshake AI and internal AI initiatives. Responsibilities include service architecture, database design, performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and developer experience. The role contributes to LLM and agentic systems, including orchestration, evaluation, integrations, and failure handling. It also involves architectural decisions, incident response, cross-team collaboration, technical planning, code reviews, and mentoring engineers.

Design the foundational experience for an AI-native recruiting product. Own product design end to end, including user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, interaction patterns, and post-launch iteration. Partner with product, engineering, data, and adjacent design teams to simplify complex B2B workflows and shape how users interact with conversational AI, agents, and structured tools. Drive strong visual and interaction design while navigating ambiguity, rapid change, and early-stage product development.

Build and deploy production-grade AI agents within enterprise customer environments. Own solution definition, full-stack implementation, deployment, evaluation, and iterative performance improvement. Develop deep customer domain expertise, establish reusable engineering frameworks, collaborate with Product and Platform teams, and translate deployment insights into platform and product improvements.

Lead product strategy, roadmap, execution, and organizational scaling for Handshake AI. Build and manage a product team across operator, fellow, platform, and data-modality pods; partner with Engineering, Design, Operations, Sales, and executives; prioritize investments; define success metrics; engage customers and AI labs; and scale the platform for new customers, data types, and volumes.

Lead commercial legal strategy for Handshake AI and Enterprise, managing high-value AI data, training, enterprise services, and strategic partnership transactions. Advise on data rights, IP, privacy, security, licensing, and risk allocation; negotiate with AI labs and enterprise customers; partner with Sales, Product, Partnerships, and Operations; and build scalable contracting processes, playbooks, approval frameworks, and the commercial legal team.

Leads the design and development of consumer-facing products connecting students and employers. Architects scalable distributed systems, influences technical direction across teams, mentors engineers, and champions engineering best practices. The role requires building high-availability systems for millions of users, collaborating cross-functionally, and delivering maintainable production software. Experience with search, recommendations, personalization, identity graphs, or AI-powered applications is advantageous.

Design and improve Handshake’s end-to-end jobs experience, including search, discovery, job details, applications, post-application status, and the Home experience. Partner with product, engineering, data science, and content teams to translate research and behavioral data into polished designs. Create wireframes, prototypes, and experiments; optimize matching quality and application completion; and deliver trustworthy, user-friendly experiences for students.

Manage and coach three Mid-Market Customer Success Managers while leading a scalable, tech-touch digital Customer Success strategy. Build programs spanning onboarding, adoption, engagement, and risk mitigation; use customer and product data for segmentation; design AI-enabled workflows; establish operating rhythms and performance standards; measure customer health, retention, adoption, and team outcomes; and collaborate cross-functionally to improve customer experience.

Build and deploy production-grade AI agents within enterprise customer environments. Define solutions around business workflows, design and run evaluations, improve agent performance, and own end-to-end delivery. Collaborate with Product and Platform Engineering, establish reusable agent frameworks and engineering practices, develop customer domain expertise, and surface deployment insights for product strategy. The role requires strong backend-focused full-stack engineering, production AI experience, systems thinking, communication, and comfort working with senior enterprise stakeholders.

Build and evolve Handshake’s frontend platform, including reusable TypeScript and React components, design systems, accessibility capabilities, developer tooling, CI/CD infrastructure, and AI-enabled workflows. Partner across engineering, design, and product to establish scalable standards, lead technical initiatives, improve developer experience, and drive adoption of shared frontend solutions.

Own general accounting, month-end close, consolidation, treasury, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting. Lead implementation of an AI-native close management tool, PCAOB audit-readiness efforts, and accounting integration for recent M&A. Build and mentor the accounting team while partnering with FP&A, Payroll, and HR. The role requires process building, technical accounting expertise, cross-functional influence, and comfort operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

The Mid-Market Account Executive will manage a full-cycle sales process, connecting employers to students and alumni, aiming to exceed sales quotas while actively engaging with senior executives and aligning prospects' goals with Handshake's offerings.

Serve as the primary strategic partner for enterprise employer partners, build senior stakeholder relationships, align on hiring objectives, drive product adoption, deliver training and consultative guidance on early-talent recruiting, use data to measure ROI and inform strategy, and coordinate cross-functional teams to implement workflows and process improvements.
