Represents The Hartford and its policyholders in California workers’ compensation defense matters from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, researching law, investigating facts, drafting pleadings and motions, handling discovery, preparing for depositions and hearings, participating in WCAB proceedings and settlements, communicating with claims partners, and developing toward independent case management with mentorship.

Represent The Hartford and its policyholders in California workers’ compensation matters from inception through resolution. Independently manage a substantial caseload, develop litigation strategy, conduct discovery and depositions, draft and argue motions and appeals, handle hearings, trials, settlements, and ADR proceedings, and advise claims partners and insureds. The role also includes maintaining client relationships, staying current on workers’ compensation law, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to legal process improvements in a primarily remote environment.

Lead underwriting for a complex Ocean Cargo and Marine portfolio, driving profitable growth, pricing discipline, broker/client engagement, and talent development while partnering cross-functionally to improve portfolio performance and product strategy.
