The Staff Data Scientist will lead data initiatives to enhance AI algorithms, manage data curation, and collaborate across functions to evaluate model performance.

Lead integrated financial planning and modeling for revenue, gross margin, and operating expense projections. Translate commercial and operational inputs into unit economics, build scenario and sensitivity analyses, support pricing and contract modeling, and partner with cross-functional teams to convert headcount and vendor spend into accurate financial outputs. Design and build a secure, scalable Agentic AI platform for medical use: multi-agent orchestration, state management, tool integration, evaluation/guardrails, and EHR/imaging interoperability. Drive features from ideation to production, ensure compliance-quality testing and logging, collaborate with clinicians and data scientists, and mentor engineers to adopt best practices.

Design, build, and maintain high-performance, customer-facing web applications for medical software. Drive technical vision, mentor engineers, collaborate with API/Product/UX teams, ensure code quality, scalability, security, and FDA regulatory compliance.

Design and deliver interoperability services connecting on-premise EHR systems to HeartFlow's AWS cloud. Architect data models, ingestion pipelines, and secure REST APIs using FHIR/HL7. Ensure scalability, compliance (FDA/HIPAA), and reliability of mission-critical components. Mentor junior engineers, contribute to architecture, and lead testing and software development best practices for a unified clinical platform.

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites for HeartFlow's SaMD pipeline (UI, API, ML/services). Lead post-deployment verification, golden-dataset regression for ML, WebGL visual regressions, tool validation under QMS, CI/CD integration, and mentor/coordinate offshore test engineers while producing traceable test documentation for regulatory needs.

Lead technical strategy and architecture for end-to-end test automation of regulated SaMD products. Drive AI-first testing, post-deployment validation, tool validation, and CI/CD integration. Author complex test plans, ensure regulatory traceability, mentor engineers, and partner with RA/QA and engineering to deliver audit-ready evidence and robust automation across frontend, backend, 3D modeling, and AI/ML systems.

Execute and extend automated end-to-end tests across UI, API, and backend services for regulated SaMD. Implement and maintain Selenium and Playwright automation, develop API tests, run post-deployment verification and CI/CD smoke checks, apply AI-assisted testing techniques, produce QMS-compliant test documentation, validate tooling, investigate failures, and collaborate with senior test architects to advance the automation strategy.

Serve as senior technical authority for software quality across SaMD and AI/ML products. Own SDLC design control, QMS architecture, V&V strategy, risk management, DHF governance, and audit readiness. Drive regulatory alignment (FDA, EU-MDR, PMDA), mentor quality engineers, and define scalable compliance-at-speed frameworks for cloud/SaaS and cybersecurity-enabled digital health solutions.

Sell and promote Heartflow's AI-driven FFRCT cardiac analysis within an assigned territory by prospecting, closing new accounts, and expanding usage in existing centers. Build relationships with cardiology stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams for adoption, meet sales targets, capture voice-of-customer feedback, and use Salesforce to manage pipeline. Role is home-based with significant travel (30–50%).

Lead a small team building data and ML infrastructure for large-scale medical imaging ML. Architect and implement distributed compute platforms (training and inference), cloud-data systems, and production deployments. Mentor engineers, write high-performance Python code (including cross-language bindings), use frameworks like Ray and Kubernetes, apply infrastructure-as-code, and collaborate with researchers to enable scalable, secure ML workflows and monitoring.

The Staff Data Architect at Heartflow will lead the data strategy, managing the architecture for databases and data lakes while ensuring compliance and performance of the system. Responsibilities include overseeing data modeling, database operations, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance data processes for healthcare applications.

The Senior Software Engineer will design and develop cloud-based services, lead feature development, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with FDA regulations.

Drive adoption and growth of Heartflow's cCTA/FFRct clinical pathway within assigned accounts by building relationships with cardiologists and referring physicians, executing business development plans, coordinating cross-functional resources, delivering education and presentations, organizing outreach programs, and meeting quota and usage-growth targets.
