Architects Heartflow’s end-to-end test engineering strategy for regulated Software as a Medical Device products. The role leads automation framework design, AI-assisted testing, post-deployment verification, tool validation, API and integration testing, traceability, CI/CD integration, and audit-ready documentation. It covers frontend, backend, 3D visualization, desktop, and AI/ML systems while partnering with engineering and regulatory teams. The Test Architect also investigates complex failures, mentors engineers, establishes quality standards, and helps scale the future Test Engineering organization.

Lead frontend architecture and development for large-scale, customer-facing healthcare web applications. Design, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain interactive applications while ensuring performance, scalability, security, observability, and FDA compliance. Collaborate with API, platform, product, QA, and design teams; mentor engineers; drive technical vision; and promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Direct complex cross-functional software projects from planning through release, managing dependencies, risks, schedules, audits, and design-control compliance. Administer Jira for requirements traceability and coach teams on project management practices. Develop clinical data models, ingestion pipelines, secure REST APIs, and healthcare-standard integrations using FHIR and HL7. Contribute to distributed-system architecture, compliance, security, testing, and system resilience while mentoring engineers and supporting mission-critical medical software.

Design, build, test, and operate backend services, APIs, and data pipelines supporting Heartflow’s regulated clinical platform. Own systems through production, ensuring reliability, performance, security, monitoring, and compliance with FDA and HIPAA requirements. Contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automated testing, technical documentation, and incident response. Lead the migration of AWS Lambda and ECS/Fargate workloads to Kubernetes on AWS EKS. Define migration roadmaps and reference architectures, build infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm, develop event-driven workflows, and partner with engineering teams on standardized migration tooling. Optimize performance, cost, reliability, security, and developer experience through benchmarking, resource tuning, observability, documentation, and operational guardrails.

Build and architect a production-grade Agentic AI platform for autonomous medical reasoning, initially serving as a hands-on technical lead. Establish orchestration, state management, tools, memory, guardrails, evaluation, and compliance frameworks. Transition into managing and scaling an engineering team, setting technical strategy, delivering AI-driven products, and collaborating with product, clinical, and data science teams. Ensure secure, accurate, deterministic, and FDA-compliant software through strong engineering, testing, logging, and deployment practices.
