On-call emergency management professionals deploy nationwide, including Puerto Rico, to support disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and humanitarian missions. Responsibilities include serving in EOCs or JFOs, conducting needs assessments, coordinating resources and logistics, supporting sheltering and mass care, preparing situation reports, managing stakeholders, filling ICS roles, and providing specialized technical expertise. Assignments may last one to six months and require short-notice deployment, extended fieldwork, adaptable schedules, and participation in after-action improvement processes.

Lead implementation of a state Rural Health Transformation Program: manage grants, timelines, budgets, teams, stakeholders, and compliance. Monitor performance using basic statistical analysis and dashboards, prepare audit-ready reporting, and translate data insights into program strategy to improve rural health outcomes.

Corps members will coordinate emergency operations, conduct needs assessments, manage logistics, and are prepared for rapid deployment during disasters.
