Develops and advances semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting optics, opto-mechanics, precision motion control, and computing hardware systems; analyzing complex industrial equipment; applying MATLAB, Python, JMP, and optical design tools; performing image analysis; communicating technical guidance; and preparing technical summaries for customers and colleagues.

Build and test cameras and printed circuit assemblies in a production environment. Troubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component level, update manufacturing documentation, support new-product introduction, and help establish repeatable manufacturing processes. The role requires independent work, collaboration with engineering and management, strong technical problem-solving, and flexibility for overtime, night shifts, and weekends.

Operate, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GCMS instruments in a semiconductor manufacturing laboratory. Prepare samples, conduct trace-level contamination testing, interpret results, perform materials outgassing experiments, document findings, manage laboratory inventories, and coordinate sampling-kit shipments. The role requires cleanroom work, contamination-control procedures, technical documentation, and collaboration with chemists and manufacturing customers.
