Underwrite equipment breakdown insurance by assessing risks, pricing accounts, determining terms, negotiating proposals, and managing a profitable portfolio. Build agent and broker relationships, execute marketing plans, document underwriting decisions, comply with regulations and guidelines, and identify portfolio growth opportunities. Mentor less experienced underwriters and account analysts while contributing to continuous-improvement initiatives.

Leads strategic relationships with approximately 20 private equity clients and broker partners across multiple U.S. regions. Drives submissions, new business, cross-selling, client retention, and growth across Liberty Mutual’s product lines. Serves as a senior escalation point, coordinates cross-enterprise engagement, communicates underwriting appetite, develops marketing initiatives, and prospects new clients and brokers. The role requires extensive insurance industry and underwriting experience, strong executive relationships, leadership, business development skills, and approximately 25% travel.

Investigates and resolves complex, high-severity property claims, including coverage decisions, on-site damage assessment, repair appraisals, payments, vendor coordination, and policyholder support. Manages high-exposure claims independently, identifies suspicious losses, supports catastrophe operations, certifies contractors, and mentors property team members. The role requires advanced claims knowledge, negotiation skills, licensing, strong communication, and extensive property claims experience.
