Teams at Loft Orbital

Develop and improve flight dynamics algorithms for orbit determination, propagation, maneuver planning, conjunction assessment, collision avoidance, and attitude modeling. Build backend services that manage satellite ephemerides, maneuvers, conjunctions, and target orbits. Collaborate with systems and mission engineers to translate requirements into operations, and support satellite operations during launches, anomalies, and conjunction responses.

Develop backend services, workflow automation, AI tooling, and shared ground-platform capabilities. Build and maintain microservices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, message queues, and observability systems while ensuring reliability and performance. Participate in SatDevOps rotations, spacecraft anomaly investigation, and real-time incident response. Collaborate with software engineers and satellite operators to establish consistent, maintainable platform solutions.

Build and operate Python backend services for Oort, Loft Orbital’s mission lifecycle platform. Design APIs, integrations, and database interactions that connect infrastructure data and tools across teams. Collaborate with program management, satellite engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex processes into reliable software. Own features from design through production, apply a product mindset, incorporate user feedback, and reduce workflow complexity.
