Lead venture-building and event programs for Holtzbrinck’s AI Hub: source and form founder teams, validate and launch ventures, prepare board funding recommendations with milestones and stop criteria, and run flagship events (Liquid Content Summit), demo days, and hackathons to drive partnerships, pilots, and investments.

Build and manage relationships with university faculty, bookstore managers, and other higher-education customers across British Columbia. Conduct on-campus sales calls, demonstrate course materials and software, manage opportunities and pipeline in a CRM, respond to customer needs, plan territory travel, and submit sales and market activity reports. The role requires regular regional travel, including overnight trips, and collaboration with marketing, editorial, and customer success teams.

Acquire and publish primarily fiction titles, negotiate acquisition terms, edit manuscripts, develop author careers, and build a cohesive publishing list. The Senior Editor collaborates with agents, authors, and internal departments to position books, prepare launch materials, maintain schedules, mentor colleagues, and supervise one employee. The role requires strong editorial judgment, industry relationships, fiction-market expertise, contract familiarity, and at least eight years of book publishing experience.
